The completion of the knitted installation will be celebrated by a Big Knit Dance-a-thon, in which everyone is invited down to the river to limber up, don some legwarmers, and do their best impersonation of Jennifer Beal in Big West’s Flashdance extravaganza. Free dance workshops will be offered from 5pm–6pm and then together we will dance across the bridge to complete this historic occasion.
DJ Fiona Scott-Norman will provide the tunes from her seriously warped collection.
BYO rug, picnic and your dancing shoes to the bridge to celebrate. Go on, you know you want to.

Parking:
Newell’s Paddock Reserve Car Park, Jamieson Avenue, off Smithfield Road. There is also parking along Jamieson Avenue and Smithfield Road.
OR Hobson’s Road, Kensington (just off Kensington Road) and surrounding streets.
If coming by PT:
TRAIN: The closest train station is South Kensington. It takes approximately 15 minutes to walk to the Bridge. The other alternative is Footscray Station, and then catching the 404 bus and getting off at Smithfield Road.
